“Personal data” means any information that identifies or can identify a living individual.
4.1 Categories of Personal Data We Collect: We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:
4.1.1 Identity Data includes first name, last name, herd number, username or similar identifier and title.
4.1.2 Contact Data includes address, email address and telephone numbers

5.2 We have set out a table under Schedule 1 which describes the ways we plan to use your personal data and the legal bases we rely on to do so.
6.1 We may rely on consent as a legal basis for some processing activities. In such cases, you may withdraw your consent at any time by letting us know either by email, telephone or post. If you have any questions about withdrawing your consent, please contact our DPO whose details are provided in Section 10.2.
6.2 Withdrawing your consent will not affect the legality of any processing that occurred before you withdrew it.
7.1 Your personal data will be deleted when it is no longer reasonably required for the purposes described above or you withdraw your consent (where applicable). Please see Schedule 1 for more information about how long we retain your personal data.
8.1 We sometimes share personal data with trusted third parties to help us deliver efficient and high-quality services. Before sharing any data, we ensure these recipients are contractually obligated to protect the data, maintain security and confidentiality and comply with applicable legal requirements, especially regarding transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Most of the personal data we process is stored and managed within the EEA, where appropriate safeguards are in place. In these instances, we have in place data processing agreements with our service providers and data sharing agreements with other public sector bodies.
8.2 In limited cases, personal data may be transferred outside the EEA. In such cases, we apply safeguards aligned with data protection laws, including adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses.
8.3 We may engage with the following categories of recipients:
(a) Third party suppliers who provide us with software and IT services.

(d) Law enforcement or other government and regulatory agencies.
(e) Third parties that assist Bord Bia in carrying out its functions set under the Bord Bia Act.

9.2 We have put in place procedures and technologies to maintain the security of all personal data from the point of collection to the point of destruction. In addition, we have appropriate written agreements in place with all of our data processors.
9.3 We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of your personal data, and to protect it against accidental loss, destruction or damage. The data you provide to us is protected using ISO27001 framework standards which includes firewalls, encryption, anti-virus software and backup and disaster recovery systems.

10.1 GDPR provides you with individual rights, under certain circumstances, including:
10.1.1 Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
10.1.2 Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.
10.1.3 Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no legal basis for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).
10.1.4 Object to processing of your personal data. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
10.1.5 Object to automated decision-making including profiling, that is not to be subject of any automated decision-making by us using your personal data or profiling of you.
10.1.6 Request the restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal data about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
10.1.7 Request transfer of your personal data in an electronic and structured form to you or to another party (commonly known as a right to data portability). This enables you to take your data from us in an electronically useable format and to be able to transfer your data to another party in an electronically useable format.
