Cooking time

Equipment Needed: Oven, 2 Baking trays, Spoon, Sharp knife or Pizza cutter

Main Ingredients

  • Half tin of pineapple chunks
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce, tomato puree or tomato passata
  • 1 tin of sweetcorn drained
  • 100g mozzarella, grated (or use cheddar or a mix of both)
  • 200g cooked ham, torn
  • 2 pizza bases
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 210°C/190°C fan/gas mark 7 (or whatever temperature is specified on the pizza base packaging)
  2. Spread the pizza bases with the tomato sauce, puree or passata
  3. Leave a little space around the edges for the crust
  4. Scatter over the grated cheese, spreading it out in an even layer
  5. Spread out the ham, pineapple and sweetcorn over the two pizzas
  6. Place in the oven for 10 minutes, then check to see if they look ready: the crust should be golden and the cheese bubbling. If not put them back in the over for another 2 minutes
  7. Slide the pizza onto plates, slice into 8 slices and serve with salad

Top Tip

If you don’t have pizza bases you can use tortillas wraps instead or split a bread roll lengthways to make 2 French bread pizzas. These alternatives can be cooked under the grill instead of the oven if preferred.

Top Tip

You can use deli ham slices or use leftover cooked ham from another dish. You could also swap the ham for cooked chicken.
